About the counselor
Take 2 Center was founded on a simple belief: every person deserves a second chance at wellbeing. Whether you're navigating anxiety, working through trauma, or simply feeling stuck — this is a space where you are heard, respected, and supported.
My practice is grounded in the belief that healing happens in relationship. I draw from evidence-based approaches — including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based techniques — but I never apply a one-size-fits-all framework. Every person who walks through my door (or joins a video session) brings a unique story, and that story shapes how we work together.
I work with clients of all ages — children, teens, adults, and families — across a wide range of concerns: anxiety, depression, anger management, trauma, self-esteem, and relationship challenges. My goal is not to fix you. My goal is to walk alongside you as you find your own footing.
Sessions are available in person at my Southeastern Kentucky office and via secure telehealth for anyone in the state. I believe access to quality mental health care should not depend on geography — especially in rural Kentucky, where that access has historically been limited.
"My goal is not to fix you. My goal is to walk alongside you as you find your own footing."
I named this practice Take 2 Center because I believe in second chances — and third, and fourth. Life rarely goes according to plan. What matters is that you have a place to regroup, reflect, and move forward. That is what I am here for.

Compassionate
Every person who comes to Take 2 Center is met with genuine warmth and zero judgment. Your story matters, and you deserve to be heard — fully and without interruption.
Collaborative
Therapy is not something done to you. We work together, setting goals that are yours, at a pace that respects where you are right now.
Accessible
Mental health care should reach everyone — not just those in cities. In-person sessions in Eastern Kentucky and telehealth across Kentucky mean no one is left out.
